In this article, we explore an alternative derivation of Hawking radiation. Instead the field-theoretic derivation, have suggested a simpler calculation based on quantum mechanical reflection from one-dimensional potential. The coefficient shows exponential fall in energy which, comparison with Boltzmann probability distribution, yields temperature. temperature is same as for spherically symmetric black holes. gives exact local that involves region lying entirely outside horizon.
